      First steps HELP!

Ok so i need help taking the first steps to lucid dreaming. 1st of all when i dream and i see my self what do i do or think or w.e to control my dream self . also when i do and have to test if its a dream or not. Well do i just test it out and i automaticly gain controol or what? and sometimes i do and i automaticly wake up any tips. Also just wondering do my dreams seem to last longer when i gain the ability to lucid dream like live in the dream for a good 20to 30mins of fun? and would anyone describe it as paradise? and can u feel stuff in it. o and just wondering is it hard to take control and stuff if u begin wit a nightmare all of a sudden and zombies are after u and u cant concentrate good enough?

      Okay lets see....

When you dream and see yourself what do you want to think?

When you test try to pinch your nose and breath. You should be able to. The first time you do this you will almost always end quickly. But after a while you will gain controll. The dream can feel anyway you want it to. Most people remember there lucids more than there non-lucids because they have a bigger impact. It will take a while but some lucids can last about an hour (thats pretty long). Although dream time is the same as regualar time you can do alot more then in regular time because of the way you get from place to place. (example. Flying, teleporting) and the fact that you can be in america then turn the corner and be in france. You can have all five senses in a dream, you can touch, smell, taste, hear, and see in a lucid dream.

      Oh and i almost forgot!

      Welcome the the dreamviews community!!!!!!!!!!!

When you RC in a dream and realize it's a dream, don't get excited, that usually wake people up from their dreams. You don't get control right away. You have to believe you can do it or keep trying until you can.

Too make your dream last longer, you can spin, touch things and feel what they feel like, or even yell out Stabilize!!

If you catch yourself in a nightmare of some sort try speaking to the thing chasing you, and if you don't feel like it then imagine making it disappear forever out of your dreams or even fighting whatever your up against, confident you'll win works.

Man, reading your post gave me a headache, no offense.

When you are looking at yourself in a dream and you become lucid, just shift your consciousness to first person. Imagine what it will look like when you shift to first person, then will yourself for it to happen. That should work.

To control nightmares... well, I haven't had one yet when I am fully lucid, so in regular dreams I just wake myself up. Just do that then go back to sleep* (after recovering from the nightmare, or course). You should wake up someplace else, but if you are unlucky enough to be back in the nightmare then just repeat. Dreams normally last long enough to be able to do that.

If you want to make it longer, just learn to stabilize and don't think about you being in bed asleep. Plus, the later in the night you dream, the longer you dream (REM gets longer throughout the night).

      Hope I helped!

*Don't DEILD! It will put you back in the dream!
