      pancakes

So its been awhile since Ive had this dream but I'm curious to know what it could possibly mean since I have had it several times. Here goes the dream:

I dream that I'm having sex with a very close friend of mine (male friend, I'm female)... he is someone that back like 12 years ago we did hook up and well even though we have been really close friends and i wouldnt have it any other way I do adore him in a way a married woman shouldnt...anyways in my dream we are having sex and right before i orgasm i end up waking up only to be having sex with my husband.

Like I said before this is a dream ive had more than once. I call it my pancakes dream...any clues as to what it could possibly mean and y i have it soo much???

I'm confused about the pancakes. Do I really want to know?

I do adore him in a way a married woman shouldnt...
Possibly a little bit of guilt, there? Might be finding its way into your subconscious?

It's a sex dream. It means you're attracted to someone, that's all. Just because you're married doesn't mean you won't still be attracted to other people, but (assuming you're monogamous) you've made an agreement that you won't act on that attraction. You will still be attracted to people, because you are still a human being. (Probably.)

Damn it, there was a great Savage Love article dealing with crushes, saying you should just enjoy them, but it occurs to me that the one I was thinking of wouldn't really be applicable here. I couldn't find it, anyway.

Anyway, I'm not a syndicated sex-advice columnist, so I'm done here.

i end up waking up only to be having sex with my husband.
Wait, this was a false awakening, right?

      ...

      Seriously, pancakes?

I pick up a half-eaten copy of a book by Neil Gaiman, and decide this is all his fault.

I've said this before. I leave interpretation up to the dreamers. And you seem new so.... WELCOME TO DV!!

I was always a dreamer, in childhood especially. People thought I was a little strange.-Charley pride

Is...is your husband getting his freak on while you're sleeping? Maybe I just misread that.

Anyway, there is a forum for dream interpretation, but I'll second Dako in that you're really the only one qualified to interpret your dreams. I'm personally of the opinion that there are no secret, encoded meaning in our dreams, but even if you do feel that, there is so much background information and history and mental baggage going on in your life that a group of stranger wouldn't be able to put it into full context.
