Hi I've just joined. I was wondering if there's any particular circumstances that can trigger a lucid dream. I noticed I get them more when the window is open, maybe because more oxygen is going to my brain. Also, most of my dreams are signalled by me trying to switch the light on and it doesn't come on. It's so goddamn real you wouldn't believe it. Then I start to float. I can control the dream about 30%. Also, if I tried to turn my head to see myself on the bed it's really difficult to turn, I can never turn round to look at the bed. Why is that? Any ideas anybody? |

I was always a dreamer, in childhood especially. People thought I was a little strange.-Charley pride
Okay so let me get this straight. When you dream, and become lucid you are in your room? Does it feel like you wake up, so you go to turn on the lights, and continue on with your normal mornings. If that is the case, you are probably in a FA (False Awakening). The reason for you not being able to turn, is either a belief issues. Like you are still doubtful that you are dreaming. And the other reason might be, because even though you are lucid. Your control is still very limited. When you fight against the plot of the dream so to speak, it forces you to do certain things, or walk in a certain direction. I have had that happen, were I am a little bit conscious of being in a dream, but since I am not fully there, I can't control certain elements of the dream, such as where I can look and where I can walk. One more possible thing that may be happening, is that you are OBEing, where you still feel that sleep paralysis from your regular body. It is also called astral projecting, and you are in that in between state, maybe your in your "Etheric" body. |

When we are dreaming alone it is only a dream. When we are dreaming with others, it is the beginning of reality. ~Dom Helder Camara
