I'm an aspiring writer - I've done a bit of poetry and enjoy moderate success in nonfiction, but what I'd really like to do is tell a great story. I have a lot of crazy ideas but I have trouble holding onto inspiration for longer than a few days. My most moving inspiration tends to come from my dreams. Problem is, when I'm dreaming things usually get pretty chaotic and it's hard to understand what the characters are saying to me sometimes -- it's equally hard to remember it afterward. I'm hoping that lucid dreaming could help me explore these ideas a bit more effectively, to talk to these characters of mine more intelligibly, and to improve my memory of the events.
Hi Arc042,
Welcome to DV. You'll find that once you begin to LD, not only do your dreams become more vivid, you'll be able to remember more too. This will come in handy when writing about the great story or, for some big fun, write something in an LD. You will be able to write anything, and create anything just from your free will.
Lucky you, I'm looking forward to reading some of your stuff once you start to lucid dream!
