      Hey :O

Hey, just found this site and read some of the info you guys have here and all i can say is... wow, i can't wait to start exploring the resorces and information that you have here, its a bit overwhelming to be honest im not sure where i want to start looking first!

A brief introduction i suppose... i'm 28, live in Canada and have always been facinated by dreams that i've had. I realise now that I've been having lucid dreams for my whole life but only for the last 6 or 7 years have I been conciously trying to develop the ability to achieve lucidity. I've been sucessful to a point but seemed to hit a plateau recently. i can achieve lucidity but it seems to come in waves, i'll get 8 or 9 in a month but then i'll struggle for the next while, i've done some experimenting with trying to make people or objects appear and have had some success, but not at a consistant level. i've noticed a few dream signs like stopped watches and drinking milk underwater (your guess is as good as mine). and have had some success with flying tho i seem to have a range of flight, like i'm in an invisible box or something.

one question that i would have for people is, aside from flying what are some of the things that you like to persue in your dreams?

Welcome! I just recently joined also. My dream control isn't too good yet, but I like going through mirrors. I'd like to try and travel in space to other planets, and possibly create my own life there if my mind hasn't already.

I think it would be cool to have a dream about being someone else. Even if this sounds fictional or fantasy-like, the mind switches from a limited to an omniscient perspective in any particular lucid state. I also think it is a major flaw to classify dreams as 'lucid' or 'non-lucid' because it throws out all degrees of freedom and clarity under the overarching framework that is the culmination of the mind, the subconscious, and their illusive lucid connection.

BTW, welcome!! So much of these forums are devoted to understanding the phenomena associated with dreaming, but no matter where you search, this fraction is nowhere near as prodigious as some of the threads and topics that dreamviews members galvanize! It's a really great thing!
