Random Lucidity... So I'm back on the forum!

Hello all! Sort of newbie here.

This is account is a bit old. I started it a while back when I was really into dreaming, and I never had any success becoming lucid so I sort of gave up. Recently though, I've started to randomly become lucid in my dream. I don't do a reality check or anything at all, there are just moments when I suddenly realize I'm dreaming. It's always an awesome realization, and I am filled with excitement at the possibility of doing anything!

I have, however, had a bit of trouble keeping control. Here are my two most recent dream experiences.

In the dream, I was in a house that was not my house, but it was my house.. you know? So, all of a sudden, I realize I'm dreaming. I think, "I could do anything! What do I want to do?" Well, there were two things. One, was that I wanted to meet "the perfect guy." The other, I wanted to find some dragons and capture them. I focused on the first one first, visualizing the guy in my head and forcing him into existence. I ran outside to find him, except this is where I lost a little control. He was not my dream guy completely, because he was very distant and turned me down when I tried to embrace him. Then the dream jumps to where he and I are taming dragons, and I no longer am lucid, but stuck in the plot.

The more recent dream, I was at a friend's house when some guy started to kiss me. It was no one I knew, and in that moment I realized I was dreaming. I then knew I could control my dream, and that I would rather be kissing this guy from real life that I'm currently interested in. So I tried to force him to change, and he flickered into my crush for a little while, but then he sort of flickered back. After a couple of tries I managed to make him change all the way, but then we weren't making out and I was caught up in the dream plot again.

So that's me. Looking forward to becoming a stronger lucid dreamer with your help!

Welcome back! Try not to try so hard to do things. Maintaining lucidity is about being calm and aware. haha I have trouble with my control also, but since I've found this site, I've read lots and am excited to try them out. =D
