I had that half-asleep/half-awake feeling a week ago :/ Maybe you got too excited? :p |

a few days ago i dreamed i was using a computer and i did the time RC and it worked but nothing happened. Now last night i had a dream that i was on a busy street and i was questioning whether i was dreaming or not so i stood in the middle of the street and got ran over by a car and nothing happened, i then clearly said "im dreaming" and i sort of felt like i was half awake and half asleep when i said it, so was i about to go into lucidity or what? its getting frustrating. |

I've also done RC's in dreams and didn't become lucid. I've also had dreams where I knew it was a dream, but I didn't really understand what that meant. I just continued the dream normally. |

"I'm trying to watch Clash of the Titans and all I can hear is the two of them screaming about Morris Day at the top of their lungs."
One thing I can say is dont rely on only 1 RC. Also as soon as you know its a dream, relax and rub rours hands together, than do as you please.... Dont get frustrated, its worth the work! |

It's not reality checks that make you lucid, although they help, but it's logic and awareness for me. |

frustration will only hinder your progress |

yes I am the same way, at first I thought well maybe I had "too much fun" about a year ago until I started gettin lucid. Just stick with it. If your getting frustrated just take a break from it. |

Also remember that learning is a process. Even if you haven't yet reached the ultimate goal, you are still making progress. There is no failure. When you learning to walk or ride a bicycle, falling is part of the process. It's how you learn to adjust your weight and find your balance. |

I am sure about illusion. I am not so sure about reality.
It sounds like you are very close. The fact that you are becoming lucid, at all, is huge. Now, you just need to do something with that lucidity. Formulate a simple plan that you can immediately and automatically do next time you become lucid. That should help you feel a bit more empowered. |
