New here - wanna start getting serious about Lucid Dreaming

Hey everyone, names Luke, from UK - 17 years old :-)

There's been random points in my life where I've woken up from some crazy dreams in the morning, and then I start to question what exactly are dreams, and I'd research dreams on the internet. It's like every time we go asleep we just get blacked out and don't remember anything the next morning. So it's like 8 hours of your life just wasted. I found lucid dreaming and learnt that you can actually make use of that dream time, but didn't properly get into learning the ways to achieve lucidity. The whole idea got erased from my memory until it hit me again when I watched Inception.

I began reading up on it again and really wanted to give it a shot. I started up a dream journal, did reality checks and stuff - and in 2 weeks I had my first lucid dream, then the next week after that I had another lucid dream (they weren't that long though, got too excited and woke up). But then my life became busy and I lost focus and got out of routine.

I've been wanting to get back into routine for a while, now I've decided I'm really gonna get serious about it now. I remember lurking here before so thought I'd finally register an account and get active on the forums to learn more but also to keep myself accountable and motivated about lucid dreaming. I actually started again a week ago with the dream journal, been writing some dreams down - now gonna get back into doing the reality checks.

So yeah there's my introduction, nice to meet you all hope I see you around wish me luck with my journey :-D

Hello Luke, welcome to Dreamviews.

I'm sure you'll find everything you need here. Just stick with the technique you choose, try new ones, and, most important, don't look interest.
