      Hi...

Just like to introduce myself, and say hello.
Three nights ago I had what I think was a lucid dream, where I asked myself “Is this a dream?” and I had an immediate yes as reply. This gave me some sense of awareness and control over my movements,

I had a few lucid dreams in my teenage years but that was it. I have recently started meditating, if I meditate sometime during the day there's a good chance I will most likely have a dream at night, and for some reason I am beginning to remember my dreams in more detail. So I think the meditating has acted as a trigger in some way.

I'll experiment with some of the techniques posted on this site and see if I can induce a lucid state again. It was interesting though and I don't know if everyone is the same but it is extremely easy to lose the lucid state and allow the dream to take over again, in my case once I manged to complete the task(well that's the way i like to think of it) which was to get out of an endless recurring hallway, after that I re-entered a normal dreaming state... well its all very strange, and I only have this most recent experience to go by.

      Welcome to Dreamviews!

It's good that you are starting to remember your dreams a bit more often! That might help you trigger dreams a bit easier! The meditation should help, although I cannot say for sure what it actually does dream-wise. It seems like you will hit a lucid dream pretty soon, as you seem to be a natural lucid dreamer of some sort. Everybody can easily lose the lucid state if they are not careful, in case you were wondering. Once you get good at becoming lucid you should easily be able to hold it up and gain control.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy Dreamviews!

Nice to have you here linz, sounds like you already are pretty experienced. Just keep up the practice. By the time you have your first successful flying dream you will be hooked for life!

      Thanks for the welcome...

I tried to lucid dream last night with WILD but I did not succeed, this is to be expected on a first go. I did experience what some could say was the beginning of the formation of image's, Fast moving swirls of colour more intense that what I see during meditation. As a result I found that my heart rate starting to increase, I realized that this was probably a result of fear or anticipation of the unknown. Just wondering how common this is among newbs.

Im pretty sure that is a side effect of a WILD. That and breathing patterns that are different in sleep paralysis. Was it uncomfortably increasing?

Yes I believe so, its like jumping off a high diving board for the first time, as you approach the edge your heart begin to beat faster. I was not able to hold my concentration as a result.
