      Red face Test Time!!

Okay! So last night before I went to sleep, I was really thinking about LD but didn't know alot about it. I'd read a little on it and remember them talking a little about dream journals. So I got on of my notebooks and kept it near by for when I woke. I remember my dream but I don't think I relized I was dreaming. So I woke up and wrote it all down, then researched more on LD. I've been spending the last 3 hours checking out diffrent sites and I've come to this. SO! Tonight, I'm going to concentrate more and try to relize signs. I've created a symbol for me to reconize and HOPEFULLY, I'll relize I'm dreaming. Any tips? Good luck? Let me know!

      Hello. Welcome.
've been spending the last 3 hours checking out diffrent sites and I've come to this.
No need to search more. DreamViews is the best site about lucid dreaming and general dreaming.

About dream signs, I don't find them useful for me. Why ? Because I think I don't have any, there is no things that repeat in my dreams. If you have repeating themes, objects, people, etc, in your dreams, then associating reality checks with dream signs is a good idea.

Check Puffin's DILD Guide on Attaining Lucidity Section, it's a good DILD guide. You need to work on general awareness and Reality checking, you'll be lucid soon if you have enough dedication.

People usually write a letter, like A, D, etc, on his/her hands, so everytime the person look at it, he/she will remember to do a reality check. I find it kind of useless (again, it's my opnion), because you'll only remember to do a RC, the motion, but you will lack general awareness that is what makes you lucid.

oh, ok. I was kinda afraid of that. I do not do reality checks, I found them to not be that helpful, I just always try to stay aware.

As you may have read, reality checks usually don't cause lucidity. I have done RCs in dreams and didn't became lucid. What makes you lucid is awareness, reality checks is used for the sole purpose of checking if one is dreaming. So, awareness and questioning are your best bets.

Well for me I try not to do them just because my mother already believes that I'm insane, and I can't stand to explain myself again and be made fun of. *sigh* I don't know, I'm tired..
