      Hypnotic cd's

Ok, I am a total beginner at this. I decided the "easy" way would be to purchase some hypnotic lucid dreaming cd's. For the first few nights nothing happened. Then last night I actually questioned someone in my dream realising what they had said was totally ridiculous and that I must be dreaming. Is this the first step at attaining lucidity. Also these cd's say that the more you use them the more effective they will become. Is this true. I have heard that one can download certain "Alpha" ? "Delta"? sounds to promote lucid dreams. Is there any danger in this. Appreciate any advice on this. Thank's.

      welcome

i have some hypnotic cds, but they dont work well for me. they are supposed to cue your brain somehow to heighten your awareness while dreaming. i would suggest you preform reality checks instead to get you started on becoming more aware of your surroundings.

Thanks. I tend to have pretty good dream recall. Moreover the last one and can remember it throughout the day. Hope I am not wasting my money on these cd's though at least they are very relaxing and promote mental imagery. I also tend to experience mental "pictures" of people I have never in my life met before just before sleep. At fist I thought I was going "loopy". Anyhow I will keep reading thre advice on this site.

i like to use the cds to put me in a deep, relaxed trance and put me to sleep. but personally i dont rely on them to cue me in my dream to become lucid. if you havent already noticed, read the tutorials for a good head start.

I would also appreciate any info on "hypnagocic imagery" ? and what this actually is. Is this in any way linked to having any "sixth sense" capabilities. Please forgive my ignorance.

I have come to the conclusion that these cd's are naff. Still a twenty (Cigarettes) a day person and no ultimate sexual fantasy. There you go. All I hear is this "Cockney' Londoner saying "Deeper", "Deeper".

Oh, yes, that sort of stuff certainly works. Hypnosis is hypnosis. Suggestability is suggestability. Now, it may not work perfectly from the very start, but it certainly suggests to your Subconscious what direction you would like your Dreams to go in, and eventually the results get all the way through the Creative Pipeline, and you begin to get your Lucid Dreams.

Thank's. So I will play it over an over again. Thing is I have this lovely Canadian Bloke on an anti-smoking cd. Do you think I could splice him with the "Ultimate Sexual Fantasy". Get rid of that "Cockney Bloke".
