      Was this a Lucid Dream?

I just heard about Lucid Dreaming last night as I was reading about it and watching videos about it just before I went to bed. I was really interested in it and I don't have a dream journal yet, but I am going to be making one. I am fairly good with remembering dreams as I can remember some dreams that happened a long time ago. Was I Lucid Dreaming or was I dreaming about having a Lucid Dream?

This is what I remember from last night: I remember in my dream asking my self why the clock was showing weird symbols and not numbers. I then told my self oh it is just a dream nothing bad can happen. Then I remember my body literally levitating above my sleeping body and then looking down at my sleeping body saying oh I am lucid dreaming. I then started to fly and tried to fly through the wall/window, but it was solid. I then said I want to go meet Megan Fox and as I was just about to go down my stairs, I woke up. This all took place in my room in my own house and I was scared to leave my house as I didn't know what would happen. Was I having a lucid dream or was I having a dream about lucid dreaming?

EDIT: I really want to try this again because it would just be an amazing experience. By the way, I am 16 years old.

You were lucid. A lucid dream is any dream where you are aware that you are dreaming.

Although the part where you were floating reminded me a slight bit of an OBE.

So you are saying I was dreaming about having a lucid dream? It all just seemed so real and it was kind of weird seeing my sleeping body as I was in a whole new world, but I just said it's okay, I'm dreaming.

In all honesty, I don't know how I got one the first night. Maybe because I fell asleep on my bed with my laptop on my lap reading and listening to videos about lucid dreaming. I also forgot to mention that I started spinning in circles because it is supposed to make it last longer. I also want to know, am I always going to start out lucid with an Out of Body Experience. That was kind of freaky, but I said I am in a lucid dream, no harm can be done. How do I get out of my house and go places in the dream such as flying through the clouds or maybe swimming with dolphins? This is the first time I have been interested in something this much in a long time. I want to try to do something like writing on my hand tonight as well because it seems like a good reality check.

How can I keep it going longer and explore more. I didn't even get out of my house I woke up before I could even go down the stairs to leave. I felt as if I were scared to leave the house because I did not know what would happen.

You will get dream control down in no time. It just takes practice. You will probably get this lucidity thing down quickly since you are apparently a natural at it.
