I'm new :) just some random things I'd like help on :)

I've just started practicing (again) Lucid Dreaming and I've manage to have two DILD's - (well they are sort of DILD's ) - I've realised that I'm dreaming twice through the reality check that seems to always happen to me (the digital watch check) and it seems like I know I'm dreaming but I just literally admire the vividness and enjoy almost spectating the event. The dream always fades to black and I rub my hands to keep it alive and that works for a short period of time but eventually I do lose it. I forgot to mention - I've attempted to practice Lucid Dreaming before and had the same problems then quit - I recorded quite a messy dream diary before and I gave it away to my friend who wanted it because he is a psychology student. My Main question is, is it just practice? My dream recall is average, I guess I can recall about two to three a night, they are normally small. I often muddle the recall also and some things are a tad in accurate, is this normal?

back! Some ways to help is to try claping your hands first. Also, keep on practicing at least you became lucid before And finally yes it is normal to have a dream recall like yours. In fact your recall is preatty good. Don't worry if you mess up some things or forget things as long as you have the main idea its all good

Welcome...uh, back! Ok, I agree with army0193. Average dream recall is good. Don't give up. I understand it can be frusterating to not have any LDs right away, but keep trying. "Practice makes perfect" applies to EVERYTHING. If DILD isn't working for you, try WILD, or MILD. I used to DILD, and I have to admit, I don't like DILD. MILD is my thing. My current MILD count is 62, and my DILD count is 11. Here, you can find A LOT of ways to Lucid Dream if you don't wanna DILD anymore.

Dreams will always be unstable. It is just their nature. There are things you can do to extend your lucid dreams. Engage with the dream world physically. Touch things, move around, and feel your dream body. You can also change the timing of your lucid dreams to be sure you are in a long dream cycle towards the end of your nights sleep. Of course, this is easier said than done, especially if you are relying on DILD techniques.
