I'm new and need help with becoming lucid

Ive been on this site for about a month & started lucid dreaming last month
the problem is that a day skip (my defintion for just drifting into sleep without having a dream) I'm a good sleeper takes me about 5-10 mins to go to sleep
& also have a great dream recall
but everytime i have a nap during the day i just drift off into a sleep
everytime or just cant sleep (during day)
but when I do go to sleep I sleep for hours on end last night i sleeped for 15 hrs O_O but nothing no lucidness feeling no awareness that im dreaming The dream was very vivid it was so vivid I can remember every detail of it like when my friend was waving his hands in the air singing to this song some made up techno song from my head

Anyway Could anyone give me anytips I dont know what ive done wrong I think its because I just lost motivation but I need more than that also the last time I had a lucid dream was a month ago

Also I don't mind if this post gets moved to another section aslong as it doesnt get removed im happy

I'm not quite sure I understand your problem.

As for the not becoming lucid part, it's really just a matter of practice. You have great dream recall, you say? Great, then you're already half-way there. Try to improve your awareness in waking life. Question your surroundings. Once you get good at this, you'll start realizing that in contrast to dreaming experience, waking experience is just as surreal. Once you start feeling this, lucidity will arise.

Also, try to to WBTBs every night. If you have problems waking up in the middle of the night, set and alarm to go off 5-6 hours after you go to bed. Get out of your bed, get some water, go back to sleep while telling yourself that you'll have a lucid dream.

      Hope that helps!

      Good luck!

Well, it just takes practice to hit lucidity, like it takes practice to do everything else. Plus, you already have vivid dreams, so that's a plus for you! Most people would do a LOT just to get dreams that are as vivid as you claim. Just keep doing what you are doing, and maybe you should try some other techniques. Maybe MILD or WILD, for instance.

      Anyway, I hope I helped!

I dont think WILD is the best technique for a noob

I was always a dreamer, in childhood especially. People thought I was a little strange.-Charley pride
