      Can't sleep when i MILD

Hey guys, i need some help with a MILD.

It's weird because when i repeat the mantra i made, i don't seem to be able to sleep at all. I stay awake for almost the whole night making me lose sleep. Do you think it's possible that i am sleeping and i simply don't realize i am in a dream? i repeat my mantra in my mind by the way.

If you were sleeping I'm sure hallucinations and dream scenes would show up. Try repeating your mantra throughout the entire day and not just at night. Get really relaxed and sleepy at night before you start thinking your mantra. Just stay relaxed and let your mantra be the last thing on your mind before you fall asleep.

Alright ill try tonight. By the way what would be a decent mantra thats short and nice? mine is "I will be lucid, and i will do RC's". Seems kinda long for me :/

Well I think the choice of words is as important as the length. The one I use is "The next time I am dreaming, I will realise that I am dreaming" I didn't come up with it but it has a nice rhythm to it.

This is happening to me too. Just as I'm slipping into a dream, I realize that I'm starting to dream and I try to hold on to that lucidity by saying "I'm dreaming" but it just wakes me up. The result is that I wake up many times a night and now I'm tired. I'm thinking that I'm only going to do it one night a week. Or maybe I'll change from a mantra to an RC that would be less disruptive and allow me to fall completely into a dream first.

Is your mantra keeping you awake or is it waking you up?
