Initiating a W.I.L.D at the onset of sleep without the prerequisite of 5-6 hours sleep.

Have any of you honestly been continuously successful in inducing a W.I.L.D without the prerequisite of 5-6 hours sleep?

Or let me put that more broadly, have any of you been successful in knowing that you are falling asleep and then maintained this awareness through to the dreaming world without having any prior sleep?

I understand the mechanics that substantiate the needed 5-6 hours; however, I'm not entirely sure those reasons are convincing. Given some exceptions to this.

This question comes up far to much. Yes it is possible to WILD before prior sleep, but it's not worth it at all. It will takes 3 times the amount of a normal wild to accomplish, the dream will look like utter shit, and will last no time at all. Do not waste your time trying to WILD before sleep, set your alarm from 4-7 hours of sleep(some thing like that) then try your WILD.

I apologise for my naivety, but why does a nap during the day also result in such vivid W.I.L.Ds?

And I'm not asking if it is possible, I am asking if there is a person on this forum who successfully induces W.I.L.Ds like this resulting in the same as what people require 5-6 hours of sleep to achieve.

Sorry if my answer seems to me full of anger(the one before this post), its not at all. I just want to stress that this question comes up in at least 2 threads a day lol. And oh yes, afternoon naps are great for WILD's because, our longest REM period is actually throughout the day when we are awake lol. I forget exactly what time it starts and end but I have always heard that the best time to WILD for a nap is between 2:00 PM and 3:00 PM. Also, I found that reading Mzzk's WILD guide helped me alot, it really explains what a WILD is all about.

P.S Any time you try a WILD, make sure your very sleepy, other wise it will not work.

      -Good luck
