      The Oneironeer

Used to have pretty frequent lucid dreams in my adolescence (roughly between the ages of 8-13 years old). The concept is not at all strange or foreign to me, however, with marriage and adulthood, an 8am-5pm job, etc., I frequently lose sleep and the brain power in the morning to even remember my dreams seems lacking, let alone to be able to control them.

As part of an attempt to regain these things, I've started a Dream Blog (oneironeer.wordpress) to chronicle this journey and endeavor, and any advice, opinions, or help would be infinitely appreciated.

Hoping to learn a few things here I can put into practice, maybe get some "Inner Work" feedback, and so on.

      Thanks!

Hi Oneironeer! I also started having lucids at a young age, but they gradually started getting less frequent. Do you have a chance to become lucid during the weekends? If so, then I suggest you try the WBTB one day of the week. Why not have the blog here in your Dream Journal? You'd get much more feedback and comments if you did. I sometimes slack off and don't write down my dreams during the morning, but try to make it a habit and you'll start to want to. Find something to motivate you, like a goal you want to achieve.

Welcome oneironeer. You can blog your dreams here too in the Dream Journals. Wishing you luck on this dreaming path, I so know how it feels to try to walk it with all the pressures of an adult life on you. Lots of information and techniques here though. Happy dreaming!

Thanks guys, for the welcomes. I definitely will post to the Dream Journals here (though my Dream Blog is my first attempt at actual blogging, and I would like to also use these experiments and dreams as part of my learning experience with blogging).

I definitely would like to get feedback on the dreams, symbols, and methods I'm using, so that sounds awesome.

Matte87, I'm a little wet-behind-the-ears regarding all the terms, but I try and sleep, get up within 4-5 hours, go back to bed with the intention of having dreams. Having major Dream Recall issues on average, but some suggestions here have already piqued my curiosity and will hopefully help out.

Thanks again for the suggestions and welcomes!

Ah, yeah that's a WBTB (wake back to bed) alright. The amount of time you should stay up varies from person to person. You want to wake yourself up, but not stay up long enough for you to get too tired to go back to sleep. About recall, it's just all about giving it your best shot and write down your dreams and remember as much details as possible. It might take a while before you start noticing major changes, but it will definitely increase over time.

      Good luck!
