      First attempts on lucid dreaming

      Hello everybody,
I am new to lucid dreaming and very new to this board. I read about this topic in December 2010. I almost never remember any dream so even remembering anything was very exciting to me. So I read the tutorials, put a little notebook on my nightstand and when I was on holiday I started into this. Within days I was able to remember my dreams and write down something about it, on a peak around the end of the year even 2 or 3 dreams a night.
As my holidays ended, I fell back to remembering / writing down about one dream every 2 or 3 days. Perhaps 6 hours of sleep do not go well with dreaming. ^^

I also tried the WILD method when going to bed. I know, that this should rather been done after some hours of sleep. But my intend was to experience the transition into sleep paralysis, I do not expect going that easy into lucidity that easy. While doing this, I have similar problems as other people stated here: When I feel the first wave of numbness washing over my body I snap back into being awake.

So this is my introduction. I would love people commenting on this.

      Regards
      Lorgarn

Hello there and welcome to DV! I would suggest you look into your old dreams and try to find your dream signs ( reoccuring items, people, or settings). I also suggest you look into the MILD and DILD to start with, it may be a little easier to begin with those methods. WILD is quite tough for many so its easier to start from the easier methods. If you haven't already I also suggest you look into the reality check tutorial. if you have any other questions or concerns don't be afraid to ask. Good luck!
