Hi all LD-ers,

here's my first posting, thought its time that i should introduce myself. so here are a few non interesting factoids about myself
1) im 20
2) from Singapore
3) no musical bone in me whatsoever but trying to learn the guitar
4) short attention span
5) favourite tv shows CSI, House, Fringe, The X-files, Grey's anatomy, The Big Bang theory etc.
6) loves dreaming (both day dreaming and the REM kind)

Lucid dreams aren't exactly new to me. comes and goes.... mostly DILDs. i think there were a couple of WILDs here and there during times when i woke up but went back to sleep after a while. but i can't really rememeber, so i supposed it doesn't count :S

anyways, i don't know if this makes sense but my LDs started as sort of an extension from SP. There would be ringing in my ears, and i would float (but have no control over my limbs) and then (consciously) try to fly out the window. It almost always dark with little scenary. but i could feel the wind. i can't really control the flying. But episodes like this decreases as years pass.

one of my DILDs experiences was when i find myself in a foreign place, and im in a house or something, and there's a slide and some sort of a pool in the middle of it. i climbed up and slided down and well, landed in water. and it was water. i was extremely excited for some reason. i tried spinning for the first time in that episode to prolong the experience and it worked. there were times were it doesn't though.

anyway, here's a question, to what extent can you guys control your environment and actions? like for me, its really minimal. there were occasions where i can pass through walls and windows. sometimes i can control where i am going, but it feels like erm... how shall i put it... like you know when u watch reality tv when its the point of view of the person with the camera on his/her body? it feels that way for me or that that's my memory when i woke up. sometimes i can't run. i would practically walk like im in space. (not that im in space before...but i hope you get the idea.. )

i don't really have a dream journal. i do write them down at times.. but it really feels weird, like there will be so many blanks spaces of memories and at some point in the entry, i feel that im just making nonsense up. and i dun usually rememeber them immediately. there will be times where i was brushing my teeth and BAM! hence this another question, do you guys write down your dreams regularly? do you share it with people???

wahh, ive been rambling quite a bit here. so i'll stop.

thanks for reading.
