      Smile I'm a noob...

      Hi everyone. I had a really strange experience a few nights ago... I was dreaming... and while I was dreaming I realized I was dreaming... I Googled this and found out it's called a lucid dream. It felt so amazing to realize I was dreaming while I was dreaming that I want to have more lucid dreams. So I Googled again for information on how to lucid dream and I found this site. I am an artist and I think my dreams could be a great source of inspiration for my art... if I can just learn to control them... and I think this is the site to learn that on. Looks like my first step will be the tutorials so I can remember more of my dreams and start a dream journal. I'm looking forward to having many amazing dreams and reading your dreams too! I will check the tutorial section, but any advice for a noob?

      Welcome to DV, Trish. I think the biggest thing I can recommend to you starting out is to start keeping a dream journal. This will help with your dream recall and ensure that you remember future lucid dreams, as well as helping you find dreamsigns, which can be used to help identify the dream state and so help you become lucid.

      Lucid dreaming is indeed amazing for inspiration! I have gotten inspiration for my writing, web design, and the occasional drawing (though I can't draw for crap) from dreams both lucid and not. What kind of art do you practice?
