      Help with MILD/WILD

Hey I learned about lucid dreaming about a week ago. I decided I wanted to try the MILD and WILD techniques. I havn't had any lucid dreams and I was wondering if I am doing any thing wrong. Please read this and tell my any suggestions.
This is my night routine. I have been going to bed ~8:30 I set my alarm to 3:00. I repeat to myself in my head "I will wake up from every dream cycle and remember my dream" I eventually fall asleep. I wake up several times (2-3) and write my dream in my dream journal then fall back asleep thinking about my previous dream. My alarm goes off at three an I go to the bathroom and eat a granola bar or something.
I will then go back into my room and lie down on my back with my arms on my sides and my legs almost straight out. I use the meditation technique of imagining rising from my body. I then go to the ceiling and picture everything in my room. Then I rise above my house and look at the surrounding buildings and imagine the crisp night air. I then imagine flying to a beach and imagining the waves crashing on the beach and the sun beating on my chest. Once I am relaxed I count in my head "1, I am dreaming. 2, I am dreaming". I keep getting sidetracked and thinking about something else. (If I get sidetracked do I have to start my process over or can I keep going from where I got sidetracked?) I start feeling tingly and stuff but I dont see HI or anything after a while (i count to 150-200) I decide to go do a reality check but each time I find I am in the real world.
      Any suggestions?

Have you tried this without waking up 2-3 times to record your dreams? It should send you straight into a wild if you, when you wake up, don't move at all and fall back asleep at these intervals (or so I've heard).

I think the point of doing it in a nap is that you are already rested so you can go straight into a WILD. So no rest is involved. Don't quote me on that lol

Awake now. I couldn't find an unlocked teacher classroom so i just fell asleep in our Robotics lab using 3 rolly chairs as a bed the problem was all the kids who were in there were being dicks and wouldn't let me sleep so ill just have to try at home lol. Our shop teacher/Robotics coach didnt care...

I took a nap the first day here, and it became a lucid dream (only one since I joined). I don't think I really thought about getting a lucid dream when I fell asleep though.

      About napping:
Our waking and sleeping periods are regulated by the cycling balance of chemicals in our brain. That cycle has a natural low in the middle of the day and that's when we have the opportunity to nap. This mid-day low isn't as deep, so you tend to have a short period of REM sleep, which is ideal for a lucid dream. At the end of the day, we have another deeper low that leads to deep sleep which isn't good for WILD right away. Only after about 4 hours of night's sleep do conditions become good for lucid dreams.

      About counting:
The purpose of the counting is just to help you fall asleep. So it doesn't matter so much how you do it or whether you start over or continue. Do what seems natural, don't become stressed about it. Just as long as you get sleepy, you are making progress toward the transition into the WILD.
I am sure about illusion. I am not so sure about reality.
