      Hi Everyone!

I got interested in dreams when I read about Jung's theory on dreams.

I knew from quite some time that dreams are a reflection on our problems, but I didn't delve deeper into it, or think about the symbolism of it. I only know that if I dream of someone often, that person definitely means a lot to me.

But recently for the past year or 2, I've been having dreams so frequent, it occurs every night. Or even if dreams do occur that frequently, remembering it after every night is definitely not a good sign because of my frequently disturbed sleep.

But somehow my mind cleared when I solved one of my most troubling problems, and ever since then it's back to normal, only occasional dreams which I could remember, otherwise it's peaceful night throughout.

So I guess, having too much dreams is a bad thing huh?

Hi Carrot and welcome to DV! Dreams are not a reflection of our problems, but rather alot of things bunched up. Earlier experiences, daily experiences, connections with people, wishes, random thoughts etc. The more you think about something, or experience something, the more you dream about it. It doesn't matter if it's bad or good.

Having alot of dreams aren't hurtful to you, other than that you might lose some sleep. The character of those dreams though can be very annoying, and if you're having alot of nightmares and stuff like that, then you've obviously experienced something bad that you're thinking alot about, or that you're uphappy or worried about something.

I used to be bothered by my dreams and I never had a calm night, until I started appreciating them. I then started having less nightmares and hallucinations, and more pleasant dreams.

If you haven't, check out the wiki section Wiki - Dreamviews Lucid Dreaming Community & Resource.

Good luck and keep on dreaming!

      Thanks for the welcome.

Maybe because I focus more on the problems I faced. I rarely get nightmare but repetition dreaming of let's say a certain individual to remind me of how much I miss that person pisses me off, because I'm trying to forget it in real life.

Anyway, am I the only one who finds it irritating to dream all the time, everyday, including short naps? Maybe because I suffer from lack of sleep most of the time. I find it a relief that I'm dreaming lesser now.
