      Nightmare Q's

Ok so last night I had the worst nightmare of my life. I wont go into details but I was wondering if I should still record what happened in my DJ to build my recall?

Yes, I don't see why not, unless it was so traumatising that you can't bear to go over it again in your mind and write it down.

Of Course you should. You can leave out the details that bother you. I dreamt of something so weird and strange, that I just wrote down 'did something i do not dare to note' and described the rest of the dream (where I was, who was with me, time of day, whatever).

And pall thee in the dunnest smoke of hell,
That my keen knife see not the wound it makes,
Nor heaven peep through the blanket of the dark,
      To cry, 'Hold, hold!'

I was disturbed as a kid by nightmares. I almost never ever remember any dream, before I started research in lucid dreaming at the end of 2010. I think I would try to get back into a nightmare now by DEILD, just for the opportunity to tell the whatever that was scaring me to get the f.... out of my dreams.
On a related note. I read in a dream journal that when something is chasing you in your dreams, you should stop, turn around and face it. Some cases it turns out do be something harmless after you, in all other cases confront it, AND you should in every case demand, somthing from the confronted thing.

No, can't remember any nightmare like that.

I don't think I've ever been up all night because of a nightmare. But, I have had a really bad nightmare that I woke up from and wasn't able to sleep for an hour or so. It was about a city in a giant glass dome flooding from the inside somehow. I know that doesn't sound terrifying, but it was so realistic and vivid, and I felt like it was real life, and as the water got closer to the top I realized people I cared about were dying. That was the worst dream I've ever had, the experience at least, although I realize that the story alone doesn't make it sound very bad.

I can understand how that was scary for you. I would probably feel the same way if I had that dream.
