      Hey everyone!

Hi, my name's Louis C, I live in New York, and I consider myself the average geek. I use Linux instead of Windows, I can't stand Microsoft, and yadda yadda yadda. I was googling for something a few weeks ago, I can't remember what it was, but I came across this site and realised there was a name for what I used to do. A couple years ago I would dream, and I would be able to control my dreams, rather easily in fact. I remembered almost every dream back then, but that was back when I was like, 12.

Now I'm 15, and I decided to get back into lucid dreaming. I've got my dream journal all ready and everything, but I don't know how I'm going to do that reality check thing.

One thing I find strange about my dreams is that sometimes, I'm not even in my dreams. It's hard to explain, but for instance, a few years ago, when Big Wolf On Campus was still on TV (that was what, 2000? 2001?) I used to always have BWOC dreams, and I would be either Mertin or Tommy from the TV show. The actual me would never appear in the dream. I've had other dreams like this, being other people, and it's just really weird. Now, I have dreams where I'm myself too, and it's just like a normal day.

For instance, last night I can remember my dream. Tomorrow, you see, I have off from school. I have off all week. Well, I had a dream it WAS tomorrow, and the bus came as usual. I almost attained lucidity in this dream, but I lost it. On the bus, it quickly skipped to my English teacher's classroom, usually my 8th period class. My god, I hate her. Anyway, it turned out we had a quiz that day. In reality, the quiz isn't until next tuesday, and I panicked because I wasn't ready, and I needed an A this quarter to get a good final grade.

That's when I remembered I had no school, and that the quiz wasn't until the next tuesday. Then, I was at home, in the kitchen, looking at my school calendar, and I saw that I only had off thursday and friday. I remember I was talking to my dad, and saying how it was such a ripoff or whatever, and then I woke up.

So basically, I have a wide reality of types of dreams, and I can usually remember them. Hopefully I'll be able to fit in here, and I won't get bored like I do with many other sites.

      Hi LouisC, welcome to dreamviews
I'm 15 and from NY too, so hopefuly we can relate, almost everyone has had a lucid dream at one point in there lives, usualy around the ages of 5 or 6, not realy sure, anyway the number one reality check here is look at a digital clock a couple times, if it changes then your in a dream, my reality check is just looking around me at where I am, and if I'm in a familier place I'm probly not dreaming, sometimes my dreams are so weird I can't right them done, it's like I'm watching a movie or something.

I wanna be the very best
      Like no one ever was
To lucid dream is my real test
To control them is my cause

      Hey Louis! Welcome to DV!

I've had so many dreams where I, myself, am not a participant, but rather am a "main character" if you know what I mean. I have a lot of what I call "Camera View" dreams where I'm just watching from a 3rd person/omniscient point of view. A lot of people around here have had those, too, so you're not alone on that. I hate those dreams where you're at school on test day or something. I usually end up failing the tests or doing something stupid, so those aren't my favorites.

Anyway, I'm glad you joined us and if you need anything just give me a buzz

Thanks.. erm... (I'd say "guys" but I really can't), for the replies. Anyway, Amé, I get those third person dreams more than anything else. Well, more than any of the other dreams I can remember.
A lot of times they shift around. Like sometimes I see through the main character or my eyes, and other times I see the main character or me from somewhere else depending on the situation.
