Hello all, |

If you can remember them vividly then you shouldn't need one, but it might be good to keep one just in case. Some methods also "require" that you read your dream journal, as it helps. So it might be worthwhile to keep one. But it's really up to how you feel. |

Hi, welcome. You're lucky that you remember so many dreams so vividly. There are only two reasons you might want to keep a dream journal that I can think of. |
|
Keeping a Dream Journal can lead to lucidity in more ways than you would think. I have had normal dreams where I did something and though, "I'll have to remember to write that down when I wake up..." I instantly became lucid. I strongly recommend you still keep one, at least in a notebook. Since you have good memory and recall, you could just write keywords or a few sentences summing up the experience. That way you are wasting your time, since you remember them anyway. |

No matter how good your recall is, you will forget dreams as you get older (just as you will forget memories as you get older). You may not need one, if you don't have any specific purpose for it, but keeping a DJ can be a lot of fun, especially when you go back and read - in detail - dreams that you have long since forgotten about. |

Dream Journal: Dreamwalker Chronicles Latest Entry: 01/02/2016 - "Hallway to Haven" (Lucid)(Or see the very best of my journal entries @ dreamwalkerchronicles.blogspot)
I appreciate the kind welcome, all. Having read more and heard your responses, I will begin to write in a dream journal. It's rather interesting as I wake up after every dream I have throughout the night and at first, don't know why I wake up but then ask myself what was I just dreaming? From there, my entire dream unfolds before me which I find rather astonishing. Sounds scary but I can't wait to get to sleep and see what my dreams have in hold for me. A reality check I've thought of is grabbing my beard however I will be shaving it in a month or two and after that I believe it will be considered useless. Also, I wear a watch but it's not digital. Is it still okay to use a watch with hands as a reality check throughout waking life? |

Also, I've read the adoption forum and unfortunately it is shutting down. Any 1 on 1 alternatives to this? I am curious as I really like the idea and would like to have my dreams grow along with someone else. |
