      Lucid Dreaming right away

Hey Guys, I've lurked around this site for a couple weeks now, been interested in Lucid Dreaming ever since watching inception

Anyways, the I've only ever been lucid twice, and it wasn't for very long. Lately I've been trying to WILD, but I think when I wake up after my 5-7 hours of sleep I don't stay awake long enough and it's too easy for me to lose concentration and I just fall asleep. The methods I've used for WILDing are the user ones on here, one that involves using an anchor, and Billybob's ( i think?) guide to end all guides, option 1.

Anyways, I only try to WILD on the weekend because I'm a student, and it just leaves me too tired on a weekday. I've been doing reality checks often, and writing down dreams.

So, I know that this has probably been asked, and I also know there isn't one surefire thing or else everyone could do it right away, but any good tips to help improve my chances of doing it immediately? I mean tonight I'll probably just go to bed, and hopefully notice I'm dreaming, but it would be awesome if I could have a lucid dream. I realize I'm kind of impatient, but who wouldn't be?

      Thanks guys!

Make sure that you just aren't going through the motions when performing RCs. Take a moment to look around at your environment and ask yourself, "Could I be dreaming right now?" Imagine that you are actually in a dream and then perform the RC to see if you are. Make sure that you use a few different RCs (sometimes one may fail in a dream and a different one will bail you out). Stay confident and keep practicing. Once you have those first few LDs it will get easier and easier for you. Try to fall asleep expecting to have a LD that night. Know 100% in your mind that you will know you are dreaming. If you don't succeed, don't get discouraged. Just stay positive and look forward to your next opportunity. Persistence will pay off for you...just keep practicing. If you have any specific questions, don't hesitate to ask!
