      Hello!

Hi everybody. I'm from Italy and I've just discovered this wonderful forum.
It's almost one month I'm trying to have a lucid dream after a friend of mine told me she was having this interesting dreams where she was flying, touching things and having different sensations etc.

Finally, last friday I had my first lucid dream. I think it lasted 2 seconds. It was a weird sensation. I realized I was dreaming and I think I woke up, because my eyes were open and I could see my room in the dark by I couldn't move.
I read the first guides on dreamviews.com and I realized I was in a rem paralisys. I suppose.

Anyway the day after, on saturday, I had my second lucid dream. I think it lasted 8-10 seconds. At the beginning, I realized it was a dream and I told my self not to wake up but to explore the sensations I was experiencing. I woke up a few seconds later but the sensations I explored remained very vivid.

It helped me to have some sound during the last part of the night.
I have set my phone to ring random during the day with a special sound.
      I reproduced the same sound at 6 a.m 6.15 6.30 and 6.45 a.m
That's the way I had my first two lucid dreams.

The problem is that the sounds disturb my sleeping and now i feel very tired. LOOOL.
How do you suggest me to continue, what method do you suggest?

      Thank you very much!

Welcome to DreamViews! Congrats on your early success! If you don't already have one, I suggest starting and keeping a dream journal. This can help build recall, find dream signs, recurring dreams/characters/places, and help keep your mind on lucid dreaming. I also suggest mixing some RCs (reality checks) into your daily activities. These will help toward achieving DILDs. A DILD is the most common induction technique and should always be one of the techniques you practice. I would suggest experimenting with a few different techniques and see what works for you. It seems the phone alarm has worked well for you. You could always just lower the volume on the phone if the sound is disturbing your sleep. Even if it is barely audible, it can make its way into your dream and allow you to become lucid. The lower volume will cause less disturbance as well. Good luck to you and if you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask!
