      Questions on Hypnagogic Hallucinations.

      Well, here we are again.

I will confess I'm not trying that hard to LD, specially since I have limited time to sleep and often can't take naps on the afternoon.

Today was not the case, however.

I had lots of time this afternoon, so I decided I'd give WILD a try again. I used Yoshi's method, and by far it was the one who brought me farther than my other tries.

In 10 or so minutes, I began feeling a sinking heaviness on my body, which I attributed to Sleep Paralysis - although, on further note, I was able to move my limbs, so I'm not exactly sure now. Maybe it differs it's method from people to people. -, and within the darkness of my eyes I was now seeing swirling motions. White and yellow colors, but very, very faint. That I'm not sure, is this Hypnagogic Hallucinations? I always thought they were more elaborate and crafty, but could they be so simple? It was no formed image, just a change of the darkness.
Well, I managed to calm myself, but right after that, my eye just wanted to open. Tried hard to keep it shut, but it opened itself. Quite strange, indeed.

To me, you seemed to be in some early stages of SP. The visually hallucinations usually start as blurred images or colors. Once these phases start, don't purposely try to move your limbs or anything like that. Never worry/think about whether you are in SP or not, just let the process carry out. Once SP fully sets in, your hallucinations will become full blown. As for your eyes...you are attempting to enter directly into REM sleep (with WILDs), so your eyes will start that Rapid Eye Movement as you are a falling asleep. The key is to keep your eyes shut (with the least amount of force as possible), and try not to pay attention to them. Just continue with the process and ignore your eyes going crazy. Try to fall into a state of deeper and deeper relaxation. The eye problem will stop as soon as you forget about it. If you focus/worry/fight against your eyes, they often times will open or in the very least, keep you from falling asleep and succeeding. With some more practice and experience you will learn what I'm talking about. That goes for any unpleasant hallucinations during the WILD process. Just try to ignore anything unpleasant and stay calm and relaxed. Hope this helped out a bit. If you have any further questions, don't hesitate to ask!
