      First Lucid?

Hello! I am new to the site so any help would be welcome . So, on to the dream!
OK, I don't remember much from the dream except this part. What happen was that I'm with my dad walking (I'm guessing) to our shed when I do the "put your fingers through your hand" RC. Then from all I can remember is that the dream started fading away to darkness. I remember trying to spin around and yell "Clarify!" but it didn't work
Does this count as a lucid? By the way, this dream happened a few days ago, if that means anything. One more question, is DEILD easy for beginners? Thanks for reading!

That sounds like you went lucid. However usually there is a specific moment where you particularly realize that you are dreaming, and that's the one key element of a lucid dream.

You may have been just dreaming of what would have happened if you were lucid, if that makes any sense.

However, because that does really sound like you were lucid I recommend that you relax, and try to remember the dream again. Your memory will always function better when not under any sort of stress.

And to answer your question, I don't think DEILD is particularly easy or hard for beginners, it all depends on how susceptible you are to autosuggestion, what your sleeping habits are like, etc. Personally DEILD just happened to me once and I had 5 lucids in one night . Good luck.

It's likely a lucid dream but then again, a lot of the time (especially when starting out) you will dream that you are having a lucid dream which isn't a lucid dream but a dream about being lucid. DEILD is very good practice and great to learn. If you ever want to be really advanced then I highly recommend learning how to successfully DEILD. It's not hard at all, the first few times you will mess up (move a little, blink etc.) but then you will learn not to move at all. For beginners I always recommend DILD, with (mantras) and focusing on dream signs. Happy Lucidity!
