Hi all, thanks to DV I had my first LD and I just wanted to share it and asking if the first one you did was similar in lenght control etc and the dynamics of becoming lucid.
In my first dream I was wandering in a kind of indian Palace, there was no one there, just me. I am in this huge room with a massive door at the end of it and I became lucid out from nowhere, i mean... no dreamsigns, nothing unusual it was like a blast. Bam! ( Did you become lucid like this the first time or thanks to a dream sign?) Then I just tried to fly in the room, my feet left the ground and there I am flying in the room. When I try to land though, the floor was ethereal so I just went through it and it all became black. Then I tried to visualize the room I was in again, with no success and when I opened my eyes I was in my room. I got up, got out of my bedroom and from the stairs my cousins uncles and parents were coming towards me so I immediately became lucid again.. it was a false awakening! After chatting for a while with my relatives ( it was funny to see how they didn't care when I told them they were not real) I went on the roof of my house to try flying again but when I got up there was nothing out from the glass window that takes you to the roof, just a wall... I tried to change it looking away from the window, thinking about the roof and then looking at it again. The roof was there but... it was night while downstairs was daytime.... I tried fixing this to have some sunlight but the best I could do (or my subconscious could do)was filling the black sky into a black sky with a huge amount of stars.... I then decide to go downstairs, my dad was shaving standing on a chair in front of the mirror, to check his reaction I sticked a finger in his eye and he didn't shout at me or got mad, just retracted and then went back to shaving. Then the setting changed and I found myself still lucid eating chicken and fried chips with my cousin. The amazing thing was actually feeling the taste of what I was eating.. wow
Is it common to have such long dreams and partial control the first time you have a LD? The thing that really surprised me was that when I realised I was lucid I didn't feel excited as I thought I would have, I mean it was damn cool but I didn't have overwhelming excitement , just this strong sense of confidence, feeling of being safe and just stunned by the realism of the whole thing.
