I have had lucid dreams randomly throughout my life but never seemed to do anything particularly interesting whilst in them. Most of the time I would simply walk about a bit before trying to force myself awake. I didn’t even realise that I could do anything extraordinary within the dream until I found out that lucid dreaming was a well-researched phenomenon.
So, that’s how I came to find this forum and after familiarising myself with the terminology and techniques I am eager to start trying some out. I have already started with some reality checks and awareness exercises and within 3 days I had a lucid dream. I have a feeling it was more beginners luck than anything else and it was extremely unstable resulting in a false awaking that made me lose my lucidity (for some reason I didn’t think to perform a RC).
The thing I have the biggest problem with is dream recall though. I have begun writing a dream journal but I’m only really averaging 1 dream every other night. If anyone has any suggestions on how to improve this I would be very thankful.
