Lucid Dreaming Vs Really Lucid Dreaming

      Hey guys,

So the other night I had what I think to be my first real lucid experience, but since then I'm not so sure I'd count it.
It started out real, or so it seemed. I was in my bathroom, and realized that the door was closed, but in the mirror it was open. My brain took a second to process it, but then I realized whoa! thats not normal, and I knew I was dreaming. But from then on I really didn't feel like I was really there, or like I could decided things I wanted to do. It kind of felt like I was having a dream about becoming lucid.
Then yesterday I did the same thing, I was in a dream and I kind of just told myself I was dreaming, but I didn't really feel a whole lot, and again it seemed like I was dreaming about becoming lucid.
Can anyone help me out here? I want to WILD because that'll probably be easier to make seem real, just because I'm entering from a waking state, but I don't really have the time to WBTB, although I think I may try it more often. When DILDing it's kind of like am I really lucid dreaming, or do i just think I am?
Also, it may not seem as real because my dream recall might be a little lacking, so when I wake up it didn't seem like a real experience, but I'm not too sure.
Any help out there? Anyone have the same sort of experience?

      Thanks guys!

Once you realize you are dreaming, you need to perform some reality checks right after. This will help implant the affirmation that you are actually dreaming. I think you are becoming lucid as opposed to dreaming about being lucid. The problem is, it seems you aren't actually grasping the concept and are falling back into ta normal dream almost immediately. Once you realize you are dreaming, perform several types of RCs to help confirm and connect with the dream.

I sometimes wake up with the feeling that my lucid dreams were not "lucid enough"...

I think a good thing is to wake up at the end / middle of the dream (while still being lucid), instead of falling back asleep from inside your dream. This will give you better and clearer memory of your conscious stage.
Another is to focus on the awareness itself. It's easy to get lost in the adventures and exploration; it's the same time as in the daily life : living in auto-pilot, not really being lucid even when awake... as KingYoshi suggested : do some reality checks to anchor the lucid dream; then, examine your own feelings of being in a dream; also, find the nearest object near you and look at it, explore its details, touch it... It will make it more "solid", as well as the dream and your awareness.

      92 DILDs + 30 WILDs ; 75% too short, 24% decent, ~3 of 2 to 5 minutes
