My name is Morten and I'm 18. I found this website after I had seen Inception, did a quick google search and this was one of the first sites. Dreams have always fascinated me and I have always tried to use them constructive in my real life. I have always seen dreaming as one of the high points of my day. Sometimes people think it's strange, but whatever... I thinks it's wonderful! |

Welcome to the forum, Morten! |

Thank you all for the kind responses. |

Yes your body will go through sleep paralysis before entering the dream, that is what you experienced. I'm guessing you were attempting a DILD? You should look up the WILD and DEILD techniques, it sounds like you are pretty natural at it. I have a link for the tutorial section below. |

Heya Morten, as others have said-- Welcome to Dreamviews |

Hi Morten.. Welcome to DV's Forum. |
|
Goals:
1. Attacking my enemies instead of running away from them~ Ultimately taking control of my dream situation.
2. Remember that I can always summon a shield around me to protect myself in dreams. No need to fear!
Welcome to DV and good luck with your lucid dreams! Everyone else seems to get them better/faster than me, so I am sure you succeed in no time. |
|
Lucid dreaming goals:
Fly( ) Tame a recurring wolf that has been in about 10 different dreams/nightmares ( ) Fly on a Night Fury from HTTYD ( ) Ask my subconscious why I have so many nightmares ( )
Fight agent Smith ( ) Ride a huge spider to a battle against a beenest ( ) Face all of my nightmare creatures and beat them ( ) Be a god ( )
Last night when i was laying in my bed I experienced a more intense SP. This time my whole body was doing these small movements all the time, and I could see flashing lights over and over. I havent tried to open my eyes yet when I'm in SP (I have read stories about the old hag and it sounds pretty scary! ). I have read about sleep paralysis but I cant find anything about flashing lights as a symptom. Has anyone else experienced this? |
|
Flashing lights are just another hallucination. Some other ones include vibrations in various body parts, pain, the sensation of falling or floating, buzzing noise, someone calling your name, tingling, very fast heartbeat etc. Pretty much anything can be a hallucination, everyone experiences different ones. |
