Help Needed / New to the Forum.

Hey, i recently joined the forum, and i have tried LD for about a week, (1 month ago) then gave up. I recently have tried to start again, and I had a really strange feeling last night. I was trying Yoshi's WILD technique and as he said flip over about every 7-10 minutes. I turned over, and instantly felt like i was dozing off, and my noises from my surroundings started getting quieter ( my dad watching tv.) I started hearing sombody yelling ( in my mind) and i remember this same voice from somewhere before. I must have dreamed about this same person yelling before because i swear i heard it before. While the yelling was going on, I saw a red dragon, flying up and down, but i still new in my mind i was awake, and not in a LD. I know this is bad and i heard i was supposed to always think i am in a LD for better success, but me being me, i just new i wasnt. I then did a RC and i was not in a dream. Im not sure if i was close to SP or what, because i know for a fact i wasnt in SP. Wish me luck as i will try tonight, and I know i will LD this week! i have a good feeling. haha.

Anyways, if anybody wants to add me on skype my skype is : hptothemax
ide love do talk about LD cuz its kinda fun hahaha. Well thanks guys hope for a response.

You don't have to get any major sensations when you WILD, sounds to me like you're on the right track and if you would have visualized right there you'd have ended up in a dream.

      Welcome to the fourm EvanDreams

Don't look for SP or Sleep paralysis, look for switches in your awareness. Next time you see that red dragon or hear screaming, just continue focusing your awareness on those because this is basically a build up of a dream. If you look for SP and focus on the body you will most likely stay in the body, although if you focus on the non-physical sensations like seeing the dragon or hearing the screaming you will most likely end up in the mind and dream, because you are by then basically aware of what will become your dream, although you need to move the awareness if you want to consciously go there.

This is usually how it goes for me: I feel that my thoughts seems slightly more vivid than usual (hard to describe that feeling) but then I know that just like Cob described in Inception, it's not like I am ever aware of a beggining of a dream I always end up right in the middle of what's going on, like it always have been going on. And with this knowledge I try to be aware of my thoughts because I know that at some point they will just be real and I am never aware of the exact switch.

So I start daydream about me walking through a familiar place, usually my old school and suddenly I notice that it's no longer a vivid daydrem anymore, but actually my reality!

I hope that gives some insight in how the transition of a WILD usually feels.

      Good luck and sweet dreams

It sounds like you were close. Your description is similar to what happens to me when I start to fall asleep. I will start hallucinating voices or noises, and see some brief dream images. Try to expand on these hallucinations. If you hear voices, try listening to them and even talking with them in your mind. If you see a dream forming, try to interact with it. Good luck tonight!
