hello. WTF! i cannot remember my freaking dreams! are you sure that everyone has dreams? i have tried everything. I keep a journal right by my bed and have my alarm set for 4:30am (6 hours after i go to sleep) i wake up and the last thing i remember is myself saying "i will remember my dreams..." I tried meditation, I tried going to bed early. I just cannot seem to remember my dreams is there anything i might be doing wrong? I am getting worried because want to have an LD SO BAD |

Ignorant bliss is an oxymoron; but so is miserable truth.
My normal sleep pattern is to wake briefly after about 4 dreams a night. Since I've been keeping a dream journal and trying various techniques for lucid dreaming, I'm down to 1 dream a night, and not waking after my other dreams. I think I'm making my dreams suddenly shy. |

I have always had fantastic dream recall but never yet achieved a Lucid. Well maybe, but that was a long time ago. I find that Defining a "Special Place" where no-one can disturb you, a place where you feel at one with yourself helps. Think of it as your Special Place. |

DanaN, the same thing happened to me. Don't decide to back off altogether, that's the worst thing to do. Waking up 4 times in the night and writing a long dream journal was my problem. |

I spilled spot remover on my dog. He's gone now.
iv been trying for about a week and a half and so far my dream journal is blank. I wont give up but i guess i should stop thinking so much about it and just let it happen |

I just go with the idea that............"Everything will Flow". |

Just keep tryinig man. How bout when u wake up, ask yourself a couple of questions like: How do I feel? If u feel angry, scared or any other way it might have something to do with your dreams, like someone above said, the smallest thing can bring up the whole dream. You can then think about things more common to you, make your work place, school, friends, family and maybe one of those was in your dream and you´ll remember everything too. You can also ask yourself what the last thing you thought of before sleeping was. That too will most likely be present in your dreams. |

Now now, dont fight kids. Just because he brought up the same point later and on the same forum does not make his point any less valid. Maybe he thought of it at the same time but is a slow typer. |

I just wanna second paperdoll's tips there - they're exactly the same as I give to people who ask me for help on dream recall. That, and the dream journal. |
