      Smile Hi all!

I discovered about lucid dreaming a few years back, but only started to get into lucid dreaming last year. I've had several LDs already, some of them lasting for about 30 minutes, most of them rather short and uninspiring. I currently have an average of one lucid dream per week (if I'm lucky, 4 in one week), but I had several dry spells in the past after taking medications. I noticed that most of my LDs occur rather 'accidentally' without me needing to try induction methods whatsoever. Not that it's a bad thing, but I would love to be able to induce a lucid dream myself rather than having them by chance, which may limit the possible number of LDs I could have. I just can't seem to have any LDs intentionally - tried binaural beats/isochronic tones almost every night without any apparent results, failed WILD attempts many times already, etc. Am I immune or what?

Also, for some unknown reasons, my dream recalling abilities and the vividness of my dreams have deteriorated rapidly. I used to be able to remember 3-4 dreams per night without effort, but now it seems like I have difficulties recalling even a fragment of a single dream. It's funny how I used to complain about the extra-vividness of my dreams (I often woke up feeling dead tired after a long and vivid dream), but now I would do anything to get my vivid dreams back. Any ideas on what could possibly lead to this? I'm currently not on medications (save for a dietary supplement... but then again I took one with B6 and choline bitartrate in it so it's supposed to improve the quality of my dreams isn't it??) and I don't have any drastic changes on my sleep pattern or anything. It's just... weird.

Haven't had any LDs this week, I sure hope as heck I could have one tonight~

First off, welcome to DV! You seem to have all the basics covered and even more, so I'm not sure if I can be of any help, since I fail to get lucid mostly (and when I do get lucid, I insta-wake).

I would say you are on what people call "dry spell" with your dream recall, I hear it's normal to get those, so you have a hard time remembering your dreams. It will get better later. Some tips for dream recalling:

      - Dream journal, write your dreams down as detailed as possible
      - When you wake up, don't move or think about what you need to do today, try to remember your dreams for a moment or two
      - You might want to use mantra "I remember my dreams when I wake up" when going to bed
      - Yes, B6 helps with vividness
      - If you aren't doing so, you probably should try improving your overall awareness by doing reality checks

As for getting lucid, I unfortunately can't help, because, like I told, I myself fail with getting lucid. Good luck!

I think that your great recall of 3-4 dreams per night is what made you so good at attaining lucidity through DILDs. Like CyperAleksi said, you're in a dry spell right now, it happens to everyone.
