New here, and need some guideness.

Hi, I'm new to this whole lucid dreaming thing.
My sister has trying Lucid dreaming for weeks but never succeeded.

I however had one 1-2 weeks ago. (I THINK! not really sure if it was a normal or lucid)

Well I'm currently really into this lucid dreaming and have been non-stop reading about it since I arrived home from school.

I was thinking about trying going into lucid dreaming tonight.
Even thought I know it's hard and that I will probably not succeed I'm really trying.
Since I got a great self awareness I think I'll do good.
I've been pinching myself every 120 second or so for like 3 hours now to start this habit.

I've been in school from monday - friday which means waking up from 6-7 AM depending on day.
Tomorrow I'll be able to sleep how long I want which MIGHT be a good thing, I don't know thats what I made this thread.

I figured that I should set my alarm cloak at around 6 AM and try to be awake for
15-30 minutes then go back to sleep since I've heard it's really effective.

Sorry for all the text I just think this is interesting.
If anyone would like to give me some tips please do, or if there is something you think I might be doing wrong please point out =).

      Hi and welcome!

The only thing I would suggest is using a different reality check than pinching yourself. Try holding your nose and trying to breathe through it instead.

Other than that, it sounds like you have the right idea. The more time you spend poking around on this website, the more you will learn.

      Good luck!

If you usually get up at 6-7, I would suggest getting up at 04h00. Then stay awake until 06h00 and sleep again until 8-9. And think about what you did backwards (in fast-rewind mode) as you fall asleep.

      No success you guys =(

But when I feel asleep I woke up 1 hour later noticing my body was ''asleep'' and I heard my heartbeats very clear.
Not sure what that was. ( I saw nothing particular, it was just like I was closing my eyes....)
I tried to maintain it for like 10 minutes then it got really warm so I had to move myself and cool down.
I tried to sleep for like 30 minutes but it was hard because my mind was so up in this lucid dreaming thingy (thoughts of awesomeness) and my body was really tired so I returned into the ''Body sleeping while my mind was awake'' every 3 minutes.

I managed to fall into sleep like 30 minutes later.
I woke up at 7:30 since I set my alarm at that time.
I stayed awake for 5 minutes because I was really tired (fail I know lol).
Then when I woke up (again like 2 hours later) and I remembered a little from a dream.
I wrote it down and tried to lay down in the bed and relaxed myself to remember more.
I've written about 60 keywords from my dreams last night now, and I'm a little disappointed I didn't experience any lucidity.

Should I just keep going ?
      Any tips?

      Thanks forum =)

It's going to take more than one night to become lucid. Make sure you keep a dream journal every morning. Don't get lazy about it or your recall will fade.

      What technique are you using?

      I think it's called MILD.

I pinched my self like every minute.
But this shit didn't work at all. ( I know it's requires time to get used to it, but I couldn't keep pinching myself so I changed habit)

So I wrote a L on my hand so everytime I see it I'll grab my nose and try to breath through it.
Any other easy way to do it ?

I wouldn't suggest pinching yourself. That is a pretty shoddy RC to begin with. Not to mention you may start leaving bruises, lol. The letter on the hand is a good one. You could also try to just pick out some random actions to RC after. Like walking through a doorway, hearing your name, something lucky/odd happens, etc. I always recommend the nose pinch RC. It still has yet to fail for me. Good luck to you!
