Wow I've heard of people dreaming in black and white but never just black. |

So, while recalling my most recent dream (I'm on and off now with dream recalling... I remembered the dream I had the night before last, but not last night's, for example), I realized that when I'm actually in my dream I don't really 'see' what's going on. I have only met a couple of other people who dream like this, but I'm wondering if this will affect how I see my lucid dreams? Or if I will see lucid dreams the way I see things while I'm awake? |

Hey that's cool, I dream the complete opposite way. The dream is never verbal, it's all visual. I may or may not be myself, or I may just *be. I can be at any point in space and my vision may be perceived at different spacial points at the same time. I may or may not be in any shape or form, with or without thought. As for more normal dreams, communication is 'telepathic', there's no language involved, just an understanding. But this understanding does not make the dream omnipotent, just a different form of communication. |

That's the funny thing, Zebrah. I've always dreamed this way, and most of the time I do seem to realize I'm dreaming. I really do hope I can lucid dream in color, you know... near full-blown visually, that is. It is weird, yeah. Aves6, that's the way I hear things in my dreams. Only it's a funny sort of telepathic - like you know you're communicating with those in your dream telepathically, but somehow it seems like it's verbal instead. I guess that's just how clear my telepathic communications are with them. And I started a dream journal the same day I joined these forums. I write in it even when it's just "Can't remember what I dreamed," which seems to work a smidgen better than just skipping a day/page in it. |

Interesting. I think I have only had one dream (that I recall) that involved blindness, though generally my dreams use all the same senses as in real life. |

Well, yay, I just found a dream sign! I wonder if there is any way around this sort of dream blindness... I think I'll Google it and see if it's happened to other people. Hopefully I'm not the one one who dreams 'blindly' so to speak. So, you guys are seeing, when I'm in one of my blind dreams, if I know I'm dreaming, I can make it a lucid one? |
|
Well, a dream sign is basically just a recurring situation, person, or instance that appears in your dreams. So when it happens in real life you remember to do a reality check. As you aren't actually blind in real life, it is a little harder to make the habit of reality checks sink it, but it is possible and I have actually done it with more than one dream sign. Just make a note or habit to do a reality check every time you can't see and that should carry into your dreams. If it does, then yes you should become lucid in your dream which will give you the chance to hopefully remove the blindness. |

Some dreams you know where the location of objects, or people are you just do not know exactly what they look like, or are. For example...you know you re in a room you have never been in before, and you're looking the opposite way of the things you know are behind you, like you're looking out the window at things, but you still can figure out that you're here, in that certain room. It is normal. Its like your mind makes up the dream before you even fall asleep. Dreams can feed off of things you have seen that day also, or recently. |

I remember while trying to WILD, I had a dream where I could feel my body on some sort of surface, spinning, and I heard scary zombie sounds. >.< I tried very hard to see, and ended up opening my real eyes. Darnnit! *snaps fingers* Jeez, I'd really hate to have non-visual LDs. Good luck gaining sight. |

Dreaming blindly like I do is a cool way to dream, RabidRecluse? XD Thanks, but I would much prefer to be like you guys who can dream as if you were awake! I've been logging my dreams into my dream journal since I joined though. I may post them up, only reason I haven't is because there was one or two days I couldn't remember my dreams and ended up simply writing "Couldn't remember my dreams," but writing that seems to be helping me. This morning I remembered two dreams instead of just one! I think I may be getting somewhere. Ah, well, I do hope I can actually 'see' my lucid dreams in full-blown visual technicolor at least at some point! |
