Is it night or day during a lucid dream?

I easily get scared, so if i get scared i will most likely lose my LD so are LD's usually at night or day (in the dream) because night seems like it can turn scary more easily. If it is possible to choose night or day how can i do this

I have never been in a lucid dream before so i dont know anything about them i am trying to prepare to have one.

If you had good dream control, then I'm sure you could change it from night to day but, since you haven't had a LD yet, I don't think it would be easy for you.

Anyway, you could try going somewhere that it's usually bright and fun, like a beach! It all comes from a persons mind so you can't really tell if it's mostly night or mostly day in lucid dreams. Although I would say day, because when you first become lucid you get very happy and won't be scared at all! Don't worry nothing bad will EVER happen to you in a lucid dream because YOU are in control of everything!

I am pretty nervous how long does it usually take someone to have a LD from when they start trying, how often do they occur and how do you leave a dream if you want to leave at any time? I just want to get in, do an RC and if it works i want to get out for my first one

Wel, it took me about a month, but if you do reality checks regularly, you could probably get a lucid dream a lot quicker! And once you do get into a LD, a good way to get out is to think about and try to feel you real life body. And if you wake up in SP, then just start wiggling your toes to get yourself out of it. Also it is very likely you could end up in a false awakening when you thought you woke up. So you should always do a RC when you wake up, for a quick way to see false awakenings and have a LD! Or in your case wake up.... again....

Would it work if i used my DSi and recorded myself saying "this is a dream" and playing it all through the night while i sleep? also i am really scared to go into an SP so is there a way to wake up without going into SP and avoid false awakening a lot of times.

This whole thing with lucid dreaming sounds so weird and not real im am really scared but i really want to try :S

It is a rare thing that you would go into SP when you wake up, but if you wanna actually not have it happen, just don't wake yourself up in your dream! You will wake up after it sometime when you aren't in SP!

The DSi thing is a very good idea, if you have it close enough to your ear, it could proboably transfer over into your dream. I have a DSi also and I think I am going to try that! Thanks for the great idea!

And also, to avoid false awakening just RC every time you wake up. There's not really a way to stop them...

My lucid dreams aren't that long because I usually forget very quickly that I am dreaming. But if you are more lucid than that, your dreams will usually be 10+ minutes.

I don't really understand your second question but I will try to answer. It matters how aware you are during the day. If you always notice things around you and are constantly being aware, you will have much more lucid dreams than if you just get through the day without paying much attention.

If you keep a dream journal and write down your lucid dream right after you awaken, then it will be very easy to remember, but if you don't write it down, then you will only remember about half of it if you are lucky. Trust me, you think you won't forget it, but they're just as easy to forget as any other dream.

Your very first time having an LD is it scary? like looking at your hand and seeing (for example) you have 3 fingers, would a normal reaction be to just wake up? and when you have an LD do you normally start in your room or in your bed?

Ok, I will admit my first LD was scary, but now when I look back it was sooooooo worth it to be scared for 2 or 3 seconds.

I was in my room changing shoes for basketball and then I was like I'm gonna do a RC. *jokingly* Then I pushed my finger through my palm I was like "AAAHHHH!!!" ANd I jumped on my bed got on my knees, covered my head and screamed "Go to a different dream! Go somewhere else!" Then I was in my school gym wihich was much bigger than in real life and was grassy. I talked to my mom, talked to my dog, and also tried to fly.

SO don't be scared, even if you are don't try to leave the dream you will probably regret it because it is hard to get another LD. (At least it was for me. )

Probably an EILD. But I guess it could be both. Maybe there would be a person in your dream saying that over and over!

I always go with nose plug RC and looking at your hands. It's also very fun to breathe through your nose in a dream when you have it plugged!
Lamp, good idea. And if you are looking up stuff on the web about SP, just stop, cause it will only scare you more. Trust me, I know because I used to do the same thing...

So, what to do in your dream?
Easy things: Task of the month, fly or levitate, talk to dream characters, walk around and explore, dig a hole, kill someone, eat
Hard things: Task of the year, lift huge things like buildings, jump off Empire state bulidlding and land on your face without waking up, use superpowers, throw a party, get in a big fight and win, die

It's just and idea to kill someone, and I've heard some DCs just don't die when you're trying to kill them haha . Your body can simulate pain but you don't actually feel it. I've never done anything to harm myself in a dream but I have been hurt in normal dreams and when I wake up I'm fine.

I don't think you would feel it in the dream world, your mind would probably just take you to some other place in the dream world. Like you would see your arm gone, look up at where you are and it would be some new place you weren't at a second ago, then your arm would probably be back because your dream just changed.

Haha, I don't really have an answer to that one. But it is a hard task, and since dreams come from the mind so is the sense of pain. You don't have to feel the pain, it is a dream you just expect it. So when you hit the ground you will feel pain.

i am finding it very difficult to image it when your in your dream do you see everything like in real life or do u just remember it happening in the morning cuz i just dont understand how it works, with all the laws of physics and stuff there should be no way this should work but it seems as it does.

is it just like your awake but you can do crazy stuff?

Yeah you're awake but there are no laws except for the laws you set yourself. Like: gravity, pain, ect.
