      Hello, I'm new

      Hey everyone i'm France,

I've been reading this website for a while now and I have to say that everything I read here is really amazing and I think I can learn a lot of you.

When I was 7 or 8 I had my first LD. I decided to fly over over Paris and the Eiffel Tower and it was really incredible! After that I've never had a lucid dream anymore . I hope that will change and I'm sure it will.

This week I've done a lot of RC and I've being doing dream recall. A few days ago the dream recall worked and since I read more and more about lucidity I can remember my dreams better. One day I also thought to dream about something and that worked. Another think that worked was that I told to myself that I wanted to awake at specific times and I woke at those times.

I've also tried the WILD-technique but I couldn't concentrate enough. I've also tried to count during this technique, but It didn't work. Shouldn't I count the next time?

An other technique I tried was moving two fingers under the pillow for 20 till 30 seconds when I was very tired. But also this time felt asleep.

      Au revoir,

      France

      Hello France and welcome!

I'm sure that you'll get an LD if you just keep doing reality checks and keep a dream journal. The WILD-technique is really hard to learn but I'd still recommend trying it every now and then. It increases the chances for a DILD very much as it makes you think about lucid dreaming. I'm not good at all at WILDs but if you think you're too tired and fall asleep too quickly, try to wake up more before you start trying.

      Good luck!

      Hey France!
      Welcome to DV

Like hate said, most people find WILD's to be difficult (there are exceptions of course).
Part of WILD is the WBTB part (wake back to bed) and that does definitely help lucid dreams - both dream and wake induced types.

And since you wake up anyway, you might as well try it out

For most new people I tend to suggest dream induced techniques though. It's a bit easier, and it helps their awareness too IMO
So once you have dream recall going nicely, make sure you sort out your dreamsigns and reality checks

Welcome to the forum. We hope that you enjoy your stay! You can try RCs, if that would be helpful, you know. Also, WILDs I think are the easiest ways of telling that you're dreaming, b/c you start to move when you are dreaming!

Correction , WILD's are not designed to tell you that you're dreaming. They're there to avoid losing awareness when falling asleep. What do you mean by 'you start to move when you are dreaming' ? I start moving in all my dreams before being lucid

Hey France! Welcome to DV I don't think we've had a whole country join up all at once before...

*to others: Well, it sounds like he's already been trying to WILD and has been doing RCs.

*to France: Anyway, what Hate and Placebo said pretty much covered my advice so I will bid you adieu. Good luck and if you need anything feel free to ask!
