Yes, you using the word "sci-fi" to talk about lucid dreaming is about the same as if I were to come on the forum and start saying that I had a hippopotamus last night, and only meaning that I had a dream

as you can see, that would be very confusing to noobies
~I wake up a little more every time I dream.

Just replace "sci-fi" with "astral projection," or "dream-sharing astral projection" and the meaning will not change at all. If there is evidence of successful remote veiwing, then you should mention that seperately anyway because that is important!

It's good that you march to the beat of a different drummer 8), but if everyone plays a different beat, then you end up with polyrhythmic music (which sounds like ). But seriously, you should still be yourself but just replace that one word.

By the way, I like the term Sci-Fi because it quickly implies the white robes and spooky phenomenon , but I think IceDawg is right in worrying that using unofficial terms will eventually lead to Dreamviews as being seen as less legitimate .

hrm. i didn't mean to come off as harshly as i did; i was just a little surprised, because she said she understood when we spoke a few times earlier. i have to worry about the overall credibility of the site though--a relentless fight--which makes situations more difficult sometimes.
Each new day is a chance to turn it all around.

Santa had a hippopotamus last night. What a disturbing visual.

This reminds me of the Steve Martin bit about teaching your kid to use wrong words, just to play a trick on him. On his first day in school, he raises his hand to ask the teacher if he can go to the restroom, and says "May I mambo dogface down to the bananna patch?"
