      Inspired by dreams

      Hello, I am new to this forum and am very much looking forward to reading your posts and learning more about dreams. Even since I was a child I had dreams where I was very much aware that I was dreaming, but it was only today that I am able to put a name to it - lucid dreaming. I have had dreams which have turned out to be premonitions, dreams which have guided me and dreams which have inspired me. Besides an interest in dreams I have a passion for writing. I have been very fortunate where dreams have inspired my stories; my short stories and a novel. DREAM KEEPER is a contemporary fantasy novel. The dream travellers’ desires to fulfil what’s missing in their waking world imprison them in their dreams. Dream Keeper is building his kingdom; The Dream Tunnels. People are falling asleep and not waking up. How was Senior Investigator Macarthur T Egan supposed to apprehend and arrest someone who popped in and out of dreams? DREAM KEEPER is about our desires and the consequences. It is also about facing our fears! My novel is currently available through my publisher at a prerelease price.       My other dreams, which disturb me sometimes, are visits from people who have passed on - sometimes there messages confuse me and leave me frustrated as I try to work out what is meant by these dreams, so I am hoping to learn more about this on this site.

      Hello and welcome to DreamViews! There is a ton of good information found all around the site. I suggest checking out the DreamViews wiki. There you will be able to get a nice overview of the various methods/techniques used to induce lucidity. There is also a dictionary of the various terms/acronyms that get tossed around the forums.
