      New to LD and DV

Hello there! My name is... well, I don't actually give out my actual name. It's because I like keeping my identity online as a personified character known as Caretaker. When people call me by my actual name, I tend to be forced back into reality. So, just call me Caretaker or CT for short!

      About Me

I'm a 21 year old male from Tulsa, OK and I'm a huge gamer. I play tons and tons of games cross-platform. You can look me up on Xbox Live under "i Caretaker L" If you're wanting to play some Call of Duty or Halo. Other than Xbox, I play dozens of MMORPGs. Currently the game I'm addicted to is an awesome game called Terraria (which, coincidentally, is how I found out about this site). I've got many other interests and could probably type of a tornado of jumbled paragraphs but I won't take up your time. Just ask me anything you want to know!

      Me and LD

There's nothing to write here! I would like to express my extreme interest in the subject matter. I find Lucid Dreaming to be an amazing thing and I'm dying to get in to doing it myself. I have a wildly active imagination (Hence Terraria) and I've already strongly believed in deeper spiritual things like LD (if that explanation offends anyone, I don't know how to describe what LD is any other way so sorry). I have no experience in LD as of yet but I'm more than eager to get started.

      Questions

There are a few questions I have about Lucid Dreaming that I hope you don't mind answering.
      • Is there a substitute for B6 over Applejuice? I had a traumatic experience with Applejuice when I was young and I won't dare drink it. If apples alone help with becoming Lucid, then I'm fine with eating them. It's just Applejuice I can't do.
      • Can Zoloft effect my ability to become Lucid or recall? I take Zoloft for depression and I was wondering if the medication can effect my ability to LD. I can easily get off the medication if it does, (don't worry, I don't need it anymore anyways).
      • What is the easiest way to start LD? I know this is asked probably 80 dozen times a week but having someone answer is something that helps with my OCD. Just wondering if I should just start off by focusing on my journals and reality checks or if there's a sort of "fast track" that people can take if they are more acceptable to Lucid Dreaming.
      • I always remember my dreams very vividly and to extreme detail after being up for an extended period of time. Is that not recommended? I started noticing a few months back that I have really memorable and very vivid dreams after I have been awake for a long period. I'm talking about 24+ hours and to the point where I can physically feel a sense of, somewhat, void around myself because of how tired I am. It's where you feel in a haze and there's a slight headache from being awake. I know that isn't healthy but I stay awake for long periods at a time anyways because of my gaming. Should I use this to my advantage or sleep regularly?

I don't have any commitments that would prevent me from methods like WILD if that matters.

Thanks for taking the time to read! Feel free to ask me anything you want to know and thanks in advance for the answers.

Welcome to dreamviews. Sit down and stay a while.

You don't need B6 or applejuice to LD. My best guess is apple juice is simply a placebo.

I have no idea bout your meds. Looks at the side effects of it.

Go to the wiki and read the DILD tutorials. Also start a dream journal.

I do not know how that would be bad or good in any way.
