      Greetings!

Hello all! My name is Jay and I am very interested in LD'ing. I remember having several dreams as a child where I could control various elements and knew what was going to happen before it did, which I always thought was very cool. About 6 months ago (after watching Inception ) I found out about LD and read one of Stephen LaBerge's books about it; I was obsessed with the idea of not only remembering but controlling my dreams.

I was successful in having 2 LD's within a week of trying and it was awesome! Unfortunately my work schedule changed (waking up at 4:30am) and I did not adjust my sleep. I kinda forgot about the whole thing until recently when talking about it to a friend sparked my interest again. I really want to get back into it and have consistent LD's. I was looking for more info about naps and different induction methods to work around my schedule and it looks like these forums have a ton of great info. I know this post was a bit long but thanks for reading!

      Jay, welcome to DV!

Having two LDs in your first week of trying is great! You should get back into lucid dreaming because you can do so much in dreams. If you want to get better at lucid dreaming, you could always take a look at the Intro to Lucid Dreaming class in the DV Academy, being taken by zebrah. Intro (Zebrah) (click).

If you have any questions about stuff, feel free to ask, or send me a private message .

Looks like you're doing really well, just dint get frustrated-the LDs will start happening, try not think about how you're mad you haven't had more but how you WILL and WANT to have more.
      From my rotting body,
      flowers shall grow
      and I am in them
      and that is eternity.

If you can find a good time to nap, you should have amazing dreams. Timing is extremely important. Even a short 20 minute nap can lead to some amazing dreams if you hit some REM sleep. What is your normal work schedule like? Do you get the afternoons off? Do you get a long lunch break? Could you squeeze in a nap in the evenings, after dinner but before bed?
