      I failed... :(

This is my method, I don't really know if it is correct.

I sleep on my back, and close my eyes, while staying awake. Soon after 10-15 minutes I was supposed to be in a "sleep paralysis" phase, but I never felt anything. I still moved, when I was seeing if I was in a sleep state. I tried 4 times, but most of the time I either had to swallow, or wander off in my mind about other stuff rather then relaxing.

Guys, any tips? What methods should I use? And can anyone explain them to me in detail? I really want a lucid, thank you so much.

Hello and welcome to DV. As you can see I'm fairly new, but I have had lucid dreams after joining this website. Just lying there, most likely won't make you lucid or in SP. For one you need to be fully relaxed and you must not let your mind wander! There are many techniques you might want to check out like WILD. There are guides and tuts to look at and give me PM if you want any help in anything!

One technique I use that's really basic is if you feel like your mind is about to wander concentrate on your breathing. Nothing else. Just the inhale and the exhale. It helps my brain from going places and it also helps me^ relax. I'm no expert but here there are plenty!

You also want to make reality checks during the day to see if you are dreaming or not. It may seem silly, but once you are dreaming you'll hopefully do a reality check and become lucid.

Keeping a dream journal has helped me^ the most. Keep recording those dreams, and your dreams will become more and more real and vivid.

Read the different tutorials here: DV Tutorials - Lucid Dreaming - Dream Views

Don't get disheartened! It can take a while to get good at this, but keep on trying and you'll start improving. Good luck!

I always let my mind wander and i have had more lucids that way than any other. To me it seems easier to just lay there and let your mind do what it want, but when you start to feel yourself drifting away then you try to clear your mind. That has always worked for me.

I think everyone has something that works beter for them, then someone else. There's all types of techniques, and when I let my mind get to distracted with something I just fall asleep. It helps me personaly to concentrate on something.

I dont know what this means but i want an explanation hopefully.

After like 4 minutes laying down, I feel a slight tingle in a random part of my body. Then after a minute or so, my head feels kind of lightheaded, or a bit wierd. I don't know what this means. Am I doing it right?

Yes, but five minutes is way too short. Lie still for up to an hour if need be. Also you should try to WILD during a nap or a WBTB. Just keep on waiting and you'll see images.
