      Smile Hey there. c:

Hello everyone. I'm very new to the forums on this site so hi. c:
I'm very excited to try and lucid dream tonight by trying to go into sleep paralysis, although I've never lucid dreamed before or have gone into sleep paralysis, but I'm going to try. I don't know much about lucid dreaming, but from this site, I hope I'll learn.

Well, yeah, that's it I guess. How are you all?

I'm fine, how are you? Welcome to the forum and good luck with the SP tonight

Try reading up on the DILD methods on this site, it's what I recommend for newbies to lucid dreaming. It usually is very difficult to have success with WILDs when you're inexperienced with lucid dreaming. Let me know how it goes though.

I am also fine, and thank you very much!
I sort of tried DILD methods before, but I don't ever remember having any lucids. I don't think I have ever lucid dreamed before, well, most likely because I never keep a DJ, but I see that you can have your own DJ on this site, so, I'm going to start on that.
Also, I am staying up because I have heard that when you are very tired it's easier to enter sleep paralysis. I'm still not sure, but I'm willing to give it a try!
      Thanks again.

Yeah it's waaaayyy easier to enter SP (consciously) when you're tired, because you don't have to lay in bed as long waiting to fall asleep. There's also a method called Wake Back To Bed (WBTB) that involves setting an alarm so that you can wake up at some ungodly hour the night in order to fall right back asleep quickly, but while focused on becoming lucid. That way you can swiftly enter SP, then get inducted straight into a dream while still conscious. It's pretty simple in theory, but it takes some practice and finesse.

For the DILD method, staying consistent with DJ entries is a must.

Hope your LDing attemps so far are going well, check out the WBTB tutorial, it tends to be the best technique for beginners.

I think I did enter SP. I'm not sure but I will try again tonight. I did have 2 non-lucid dreams though.

      to DV.
have you started a Dream Journal? also, you go into SP every single night but you just aren't aware of it
Keep at it with trying to LD, and like ninja said, try it during a WBTB. Anywho, welcome to the forum and good luck with your dreaming adventure!

Thank you so so much! I have. I recorded the 2 non-lucid dreams I had last night at attempt to go into SP while aware of it.
They weren't that vivid, but it was still worth a try.

I will! (: I'm going to try to WILD again tonight and see how it works. Hopefully I won't lose conciseness like I did last night. Aha. Anyways, thanks for the help everyone! I'll update you again soon. (:

      to dreamviews!!

If you would like my opinion then I suggest that you don't try WILD tonight. Its one of the hardest techniques for begginers. I say try MILD and WBTB. That's probably the best for you.

I took a short nap about 30 minutes ago and I entered sleep paralysis. I then began letting my thoughts wander and then I ended up waking up to me jumping in bed and I don't know why. I did it 2-3 times and the last time I ignored it and kept letting my thoughts wander. I noticed myself getting really hot. o_o
It was weird and I don't remember any dreaming.

I don't really have anything to add to what others have posted nor can I offer any insight in regards to your nap so here's Pinkie Pie to make up for it:

Did you hear a noise or did you feel like someone was on in the room or possibly even touching you? If that's the case, it could have been the result of a hypnagogic hallucination.

It was almost like I had a little tiny dream or a thought that I was falling or something IDK. ._.
But I read the wikipedia entry and it said caffeine is a cause for this.
I drank some Mountain Dew before I took the nap.
      lol.
