New to this whole dreaming business (well, i've dreamed before, if you get my drift, just not... you know what i mean, anyway) Just thought i'd introduce myself to the world, before lurking in a corner not speaking to anyone ever again. Hey, welcome to DV. =D Puffin's Beginner's Guide To Lucid Dreaming is a great place to start learning about lucid dreams. You should also browse the Tutorial section when you get the chance, it's full of information, tips, and in-depth guides. On top of that, you can also visit the DV Academy for further guidance - the DVA Professors will teach you everything you'll ever need to know about lucid dreaming. You might also want to get into the habit of performing reality checks (maybe two or three) throughout your day, you'll eventually start doing them in dreams and become lucid. I usually count my fingers but feel free to look up other methods and see which works best for you. I'd also recommend keeping a dream journal; regularly recording your dreams is a great way to improve to improve recall and you'll be able to notice common themes and patterns which can further help you attain lucidity. We also have an off-topic section as well where you can discuss anything from books, movies, tv shows, philosophy, current events, etc so be sure to visit that part of the forum as well. If you ever get bored or need to kill time, visit Senseless Banter. It's full of nonsensical threads like forum games and the SB frequenter's are a friendly bunch so feel free to drop in sometime. We also have an IRC Chat Server which can be found near the top of the forum index. 'tis lulz. Also, you're always welcome to PM either no-Name or I if you'd like to see pictures of our tits. .

March of the Mephisto, Ghost Opera, Great Pandemonium, The Zodiac, and Necropolis for Kamelot although if you want to get a good feel for their music listen to the albums "epica" and "the black halo" one after another, those together is the band's own version of the story of Faust.

It's not my favourite vocal style, but still very good Not so much a fan of Sonata Arctica, but i'll trawl through and see if there's any specific songs i like; I tend to like specific songs rather than entire albums, so maybe there'll be a couple i like. thanks a bunch, that's an extra 20 or so songs for my playlist. Listen to much Nightwish? They're basically the band that first got me into Symph Metal, they're not at all bad.

Yeah I enjoy them as well, though I came into liking them late, more when the new singer took over. I have always had this idea of turning "poet and the pendulum" into a marching band show, would be kick ass.
