      Hi guys ^^

Hey, I'm Shana (nickname Lillyth ^^) and I come from Belgium. I'm 20 now, but when I was 14, I started getting into lucid dreaming. I had a couple of great lucid dreams (I don't remember how many, so I'll just count the lucid dreams I have from now on) but I got extremely scared after one of my LDs turned into a terrible realistic nightmare. I was so shaken from it that I decided to take a break from LDing.

Unfortunately, due to circumstances, I kind of forgot all about it. My life at this point isn't very cheerful. I have a depression and I really want to be able to LD again, because I heard it might help me with my depression. Or at least help me be more confident in myself.

That's probably a really silly reason to want to start LDing again ^^' since you can do all kinds of cool and awesome stuff with LDs, but it's really important to me.

Anyway, I started with RCs a week ago and had my first LD after 5 days (I also read Bradley Thompson's book about lucid dreaming in 7 days) It didn't last very long, but I was happy to finally have a LD again after 6 years And apparently, I'm stronger than I used to be, because it was going to turn into a nightmare, but I hugged the person that was threatening me and it changed into a very nice woman who wanted to be my friend ^^

heh, okay, I might want to mention that I'm very talkative/typeative, so I'll stop now :p Have to get back to bed in 15 minutes and hopefully have an LD

Welcome to dreamviews Lillyth. I've never had a lucid nightmare but many people I know have. They seem to be far worse than regular nightmares. I'm glad you decided to try lucid dreaming again.

I really hope that you can use LDing to overcome depression. If you ever are feeling sad, or just want to talk, send me a private message.

There are much more silly reasons to start LDing. Many people start just to have sex with famous people.

Congratulations on having a lucid dream so soon. Keep working on DILD and you will have many more. You can control and do almost anything in dreams, it just takes some practice. Keep working at it and you will never have lucid nightmares.

I look forward to seeing you around the forums

      Thanks
Yeah, lucid nightmares are really frightening, because they seem so real. And you know you have control over what happens in your dreams, but no matter what I tried, it didn't help. I even begged myself to wake up, but I didn't. I felt so helpless. Then I got shot and it really really hurt. That was what scared me the most; that I could feel such pain in a lucid dream.
But now it's 6 years later, so I'm not that easily scared anymore, I guess. (I hope) Nightmares are just dreams anyway. No matter how scary or painful it is, when you wake up, it's over. With that in mind, I'm sure I can overcome my fear

I hope so too. I truly believe that it could work. And if not, at least it's worth trying. And thank you for the offer ^^ I'll do that.

haha, well, sex might be on my list of things too once I've worked through my problems ^^' but not with a famous person XD just someone I like but have no chance with.

Thanks. It's more than a week ago though and I haven't had another one. That is slightly disappointing, but I'll keep trying.
