      Hi guys

I have been reading in this forum since 2004 but now i finally registered!
I never had a ld that lasted longer than 10 seconds (i had only two).
Now i am going to try that wtbt technique tonight.

My name is Martin and i live in Berlin/Germany.
My question: Is it nessesary to write down your dreams in a dreambook?
Or can i skip this step and do RCs + WBTB, MILD, WILD.

Personally, i think that it is nessecary to use a dream journal. This helps you to remember your dreams which is very important to become lucid. By writing them down, you can read through them to spot your dream signs which can help you realise when you are dreaming. Also, if you cannot remember your dreams, then the chances are that you will not recall your lucid dreams, which would make the whole thing kind of pointless

May I add (5 yrs later ) that you have a terrific community here and lurking has been a fruitful and fun experience.

I have been having semilucid half-conscious dreams all my life and by my participation on this forum I hope to be able to raise my awareness while dreaming.

I sure have something to contribute as well, I see the forum as a win/win game.

probably going to be somewhat active on here from now on, so I'm looking forward to a fun, lucid and constructive forum experience

      This concludes my introduction
