      i have some sleeping issues

so ive been trying hard to remember my dreams and have a lucid dream. ive been keeping a journal and writing down everything i remember. the only problem is most of the time it takes me about an hour/ hour and a half to even fall asleep and i think its because my mind is constantly thinking about everything going on in my life. then once i finally fall asleep i wake up not even realizing what just happened for 6 hours, no hints of what i had been dreaming.
if anyone can help in any way, i would be extremely grateful. i just want to fall asleep fast and have a better recall.
      thanks to any help,
      kyle

hmmm well as to falling asleep, try to go to bed a bit earlier or later than you normally do, i have problems falling asleep when I have to wake up earlier, but in the summer i stay up usually until 4am on average and can get to sleep easily because i am so tired.
Try to just clear your mind, there is this thing i do if i have problems falling asleep, i imagine a chalk board, and i am standing in a white room, anytime a thought pops up, it pops onto the the chalk board then i imagine myself erasing it. Just try some techniques like this (i read it somewhere)
Or you can also try playing out lucidity, usually when i do this it helps me become lucid.
For your recall problem-set alarms in the night for random times, you will remember dreams much easier, but don't become dependent on alarms.
      good luck!
      From my rotting body,
      flowers shall grow
      and I am in them
      and that is eternity.

The evening hangs beneath the moon, a silver thread on darkened dune.
With closing eyes and resting head; I know that sleep is coming soon.

Upon my pillow, safe in bed,
A thousand pictures fill my head,

      I cannot sleep , my mids aflight;
and yet my limbs seems made of lead.

If you don't have anything particularly important you need to wake up for the next morning, stay awake longer to get into a sleepier mood. If you can find that perfect point, LD's and recall come extremely easy.

I tend to have this issue too, so sometimes when the sleepy mood doesn't work, I just imagine putting all my worries into a little box at my bedside to be dealt with later. A little pre-sleep meditation does wonders too.
Jen was 13 years old. A fairly normal girl. She spent a lot of time online.
One day, she made a new friend. He liked the same bands, worried about the same subjects.
They decided to meet at the local mall. She went. So did he.
Only he wasn't in junior high.

Thanks for the tips! I usually dont have anything important to wake up for so staying up should be a breeze. Now should i avoid using the computer and do something else to keep myself occupied?
